Key Concepts:
 | Twelve individual coaching sessions over a period
of three to four months |
 | Two group sessions using group dynamics to solve
real business challenges |
 | Voluntary participation and firm commitment,
however, no guarantee of promotion |
 | On the job coaching adjusting to candidate's
schedule |
 | Avoids triangulation of supervisor, candidate and
coach |
 | Behavior driven – focusing on business coaching |
 | Targeted competencies owned by candidate, with
supervisor's input and connected to competencies valued by the
organization |
 | Specific challenges submitted for discussion prior
to the coaching session |
Candidate Selection Criteria:
Candidates for the program are selected based upon their
demonstrated supervisory potential, their performance ratings, and their
desire to be a supervisor. Additional criteria to support promotability
